This week's dogs!

Evan

Rushton Dog Rescue
Breed: Beagle
Status: Successfully adopted

Happy news! Evan our amazing beagle has found his forever home. Even was abused extremely badly in China. He had boiling water thrown over him in Chengdu at a car garage whilst he searched for shelter and food. This caused severe burns on Evans body that will be there forever.

It doesn’t affect his amazing personality in any way and he is an extremely special boy who has found an amazing home in Somerset with Kate who sadly lost her beagle to old age and was looking for that new special friend. She originally applied for Boris and Belle but very quickly we realised this home was not the right home for them but it was the perfect home for our lovely Evan.

From Darkness to light we will find you and bring you home. Be bold be brave be Evan!

Please vote for Evan so we can continue to help more dogs like him in our care.

Maurice

Wild At Heart Foundation
Breed: Mix
Status: Successfully adopted

Maurice is one of the lucky dogs that has found his forever home. He's a medium-sized dog described as playful, friendly and cheeky, Jo and Chris were sure that Maurice was right for them.

The couple were shocked at how quickly Maurice settled in. Over time he has perfected toilet training and is learning that not everything is his to chew! He’s also growing in confidence each day, becoming more and more comfortable with the loud noises and traffic that he encounters whilst out on walkies. Watching him grow in confidence has been one of the highlights for Jo and Chris – it really is a one-of-a-kind feeling that only comes with adopting!

Maurice has certainly made himself at home…he loves to be as close as possible to his humans, completely disregarding their personal space in favour of a cuddle on the sofa. Like all dogs, Maurice brings Jo and Chris constant joy and is always making them laugh. And keeping the couple entertained isn’t Maurice’s only talent, he’s also encouraged them to embrace the great Welsh outdoors even more, challenging them to find new and exciting walkies routes – follow his adventures over on his very own Instagram @maurice_the_greek!

Please vote for Maurice so we can continue to help more dogs like him in our care.

Peaches

The Stubbington Ark
Breed: Newfoundland cross
Status: Successfully adopted

This is Peaches, she is a Newfoundland cross, 1 year old. Sadly Peach came into our care as a sign over due to her owners health. Peaches was with us for a month. Peaches was big, bouncy and also strong on the lead at times but what a beautiful, fun dog who was socialised with other dogs and good with people. Peaches new owners couldn't wait to get her home and let the training begin! Peaches has a doggy friend that she now lives with and we love seeing the regular updates from them.

Please vote for Peaches so we can continue to help more dogs like her in our care.

Pedro

Hampshire Paws Animal Rescue
Breed: Mix
Status: Successfully adopted

Pedro was a stray puppy in Romania, who had been hit by a car and left to die. He spent 2 days laying on the side of the road with no help, until a kind lady found him and took him to the vet. He had several breaks, which led to him needing 3 surgeries. The third surgical intervention was successful, which left Pedro with only having his muscles to hold his legs and hips together. He was paralyzed for a short time and regained movement in his legs and travelled to the UK to come into our rescue. Pedro is a miracle dog and is getting stronger and stronger each day. He is now happy being spoilt.

Please vote for Pedro so we can continue to help more dogs like him in our care.

George

Petwelfare Stafford
Breed: Sharpei Cross
Status: Forever in our hearts

Beautiful George came to us in the hours of the morning from the police, he was thrown out a car. Found petrified wandering and terrified. George was almost completely blind, emaciated, anemic, had calluses on his legs and a tumour on his testicle. George spent weeks at the vets being fed every 2 hours, until he was strong enough to have his tumour removed. George had his own party, won a ribbon for being best rescue at the Eccleshall show, and ate a whole birthday cake after being left unattended for 5 minutes.George attended fundraising events, and was long term fostered with Pearl dog. Sadly after having a second stroke, we sadly lost George in January this year after being with us for just under 2 years.

Please vote for George so we can continue to help more dogs like him in our care.
