This week's dogs!

Lovey

Rushton Dog Rescue
Breed: Crossbreed
Status: Successfully adopted

Gorgeous girl Lovey. She was abused badly in China. Her abusers tied a rubber band around her face so as a result she lost part of her face. She is fully healed now and so loving. She really trusts us now, it’s so nice to see her relax in her safe place. Sweet sweet girl who suffered so badly at the hands of evil.

Her new nicknames are, Dovecote, Dovey, beautiful one.

Please vote for Lovey so we can continue to help more dogs like her in our care.

Tuesday

Wild At Heart Foundation
Breed: Mix
Status: Successfully adopted

David and Georgia had always wanted to rescue a dog, but knew it had to be when they were able to give a dog the best possible life. As they had a cat, they had found it particularly hard to rescue within the UK as they couldn’t find a dog that was suitable for a cat household. Then someone mentioned us, and that’s where their adoption story began!

They saw Tuesday doing an adorable little head tilt, and they immediately fell in love with her! Tuesday was a young puppy when rescued and interacted with the shelter cats perfectly, so David and Georgia, with the reassurance from our team, felt prepared that successful introductions with their cat, Ziggy, would work. Once Tuesday arrived home it did take a few weeks for Ziggy to get used to his new housemate, especially as Tuesday simply wanted to be near him and play with him. Eventually Tuesday learned that Ziggy wasn’t that interested in playing but they have learned to join forces and beg for dinner together each day! They’re not at bed sharing stage (yet) but the couple are ever hopeful that this might happen as their relationship continues to flourish.

The couples walks have never felt so special, knowing that they have given Tuesday a safe home and the life she deserves, it just brings them both so much joy. They say “For anyone considering looking to adopt a dog, it is the best feeling in the world” and they would always adopt in future – thank you!

Please vote for Tuesday so we can continue to help more dogs like her in our care.

Bridget

The Stubbington Ark
Breed: Crossbreed
Status: Successfully adopted

Bridget is a large crossbreed, 3 years old. She came into our care September 2020 and got rehomed in January 2021. In that time Bridget managed to break her toe whilst running around in our off lead play area. Bridget had to have a cast on for 6 weeks and she was so good, even with regular visits to our vet. Bridget sadly came into our care as the owner had a house fire and had no choice but to sign her over. Thankfully it didn't take her long to settle into her new home!

Please vote for Bridget so we can continue to help more dogs like her in our care.

Milo

Hampshire Paws Animal Rescue
Breed: Collie
Status: Successfully adopted

Little Milo was discovered by a vet, whilst being abused by a group of people. The vet called the shelter, which rushed down there to rescue him as he would have died otherwise. Now Milo was safe in the care of the rescuers. He then came into our care, he was very handsy and was very afraid of any objects in your hand. It didn't take him long to realize that hands bring treats and proved to be a very forgiving boy. Milo has now found his forever home and is a confident and happy boy who is loving life.

Please vote for Milo so we can continue to help more dogs like him in our care.

Jax

Petwelfare Stafford
Breed: Rottweiler
Status: Successfully adopted

Jax was saved within an hour of losing his life. Petwelfare received a call at 11am to say Jax was going to be PTS at 12 noon. A young healthy dog that was abused, unloved and unwanted. Poor boy was terrified he wouldn't get out of the car, and growled. Jax had rehabilitation therapy from our behaviourist, and after a few months found his forever home. His behaviour and life completely turned around for the better.

Please vote for Jax so we can continue to help more dogs like him in our care.
