This week's dogs!

Dotty

Chesterfield Animal Rescue
Breed: Pointer cross
Status: Successfully adopted

Dotty was dumped in a pound because she was too energetic for her owner. We trained her during her assessments and found her an experienced home. She’s done brilliantly, she’s a different dog to the one we met at the start of her journey.

Please vote for Dotty so we can continue to help more dogs like her in our care.

Roger

Small Dog Rescue Sussex
Breed: Crossbreed
Status: Successfully adopted

As a small family of three, my husband, daughter and myself had decided to get a dog. We looked at all the other rescue homes but none were happy to let us adopt with a child under 10 and guinea pigs. So I saw a advert on Facebook from Small Dog Rescue- Sussex. I kept looking at the different photos. Then I saw one dog that was being fostered in my local area. We had decided that it would be better to meet the dog first rather than get one straight from abroad. So I contacted small dog rescue who made up an appointment to meet Roger. We brought our daughter there after school and she fell in love with him. She was so excited when we brought him home 3 days later. He was still very quiet and timid. No sound out of him but a month later we were out walking and he barked at a seagull. We were all so amazed. He is such a wonderful, happy, content boy. He comes back on recall and is such a fast runner. He is brilliant. From the moment I get up, come home from work and go to bed, he is by my side. Always happy to see us together as a family. He howls when we are all home, as if to say all his pack are together.

Please vote for Roger so we can continue to help more dogs like him in our care.

Missy

All Creatures Great And Small

Status: Successfully adopted

Prior to coming to us, Missy had been living in a car. Whilst in our care she was “ talent spotted” by Gwent Police and has recently qualified, along with two other dogs from our sanctuary as a working police dog.

Please vote for Missy so we can continue to help more dogs like her in our care.

Soloman

Sunny Shores Dog Rescue
Breed: American Bully
Status: Successfully adopted

In September of 2019 Soloman's owner was admitted to hospital. Soloman entered the local pound. We first met him in October. In Mid October 2019, the owner was informed his condition was terminal. The pound contacted Sunny Shores and Soloman was released to us shortly after.

In February of 2020 he was transported to the UK, to a foster home. At the end of the first lockdown Solomon's fosters informed us that they were now able to adopt and were completely in love with the gentle giant. Soloman now spends his days wandering around with his Forest Ranger owner.

Please vote for Soloman so we can continue to help more dogs like him in our care.

Gladys

Boycie's Bridge Rescue
Breed: Pomeranian
Status: In longterm foster

Gladys came to us with a number of other dogs from a breeder. She had a lot of health issues including allergies, alopecia, collapsed trachea, luxating patella and dental disease.

She will stay with us in rescue as a long term foster as she needs a lot of meds and care to keep on top of her issues. We will provide everything she needs for the rest of her life.

Please vote for Gladys so we can continue to help more dogs like her in our care.
