This week's dogs!

Penny

Chesterfield Animal Rescue
Breed: Chihuahua cross Yorkshire Terrier
Status: Successfully adopted

Penny came to us along with 10 other dogs when their owner died. She was heavily pregnant. She gave birth to one healthy puppy, her second pup had died in the womb and she needed a c-section to save her life. After she’d recovered and her puppy had been adopted, she had the surgery she needed on both ears due to the neglect she’d suffered for years. Penny is a wonderful girl and lives happily with another one of our adopted dogs in their forever home.

Please vote for Penny so we can continue to help more dogs like her in our care.

Rita

Small Dog Rescue Sussex
Breed: Crossbreed
Status: Successfully adopted

We rescued our little lady ‘Rita’ from Sussex Small Dog Rescue in December 2020. She has changed our lives and it was the best decision we have ever made as a family.

From day 1 she had a quirky personality. Her favourite pastime is playing with a toilet roll tube. She has also grown a bond like no other with our first dog, they are the best of friends.
When you look at your little dog and think they are cute in everything they do, that means love. And we love Rita more than we could explain. Thank you SDRS.

Please vote for Rita so we can continue to help more dogs like her in our care.

Ollie

All Creatures Great And Small
Breed: Staffie Cross
Status: Successfully adopted

Ollie was the first dog we homed during lockdown. He had come in with a friend prior to lockdown and his friend was adopted very quickly. However despite him being everyone’s favourite, it was difficult to find his forever home. When lockdown was first imposed, we did worry about when he would find his home. However, we soon adapted our practices and Ollie is now having the amazing life in his forever home.

Please vote for Ollie so we can continue to help more dogs like him in our care.

Saul

Sunny Shores Dog Rescue
Age: 2 years
Breed: American Bully Cross
Status: Successfully adopted

Saul was handed to rescue in 2019, it was apparent that he had several issues not the least of which was his resource guarding. Very few people had the confidence to enter his kennel to feed and clean him, or to walk him to try and gain his trust. This made him virtually unadoptable. His current owner, the founder of SSDR, fell for his amazing looks and travelled to Spain to meet him and subsequently adopted him as her own. He currently, and will always, live happily with us at the kennels where he has become part of the family.

Please vote for Saul so we can continue to help more dogs like him in our care.

Neville

Boycie's Bridge Rescue
Breed: Collie Cross
Status: In long-term foster

Neville came to us with others from a breeder. Neville needed extensive dental treatment, however it was discovered he had a severe heart murmur of the highest grade.

His dental and neutering surgery was high risk but necessary. He recovered well but has since been diagnosed with heart failure. He is on medication and although doing well, when stressed or over stimulated, he will collapse. He is in long term foster with us in a quiet, extremely loving home and is a spoilt prince, just as he should be.

Please vote for Neville so we can continue to help more dogs like him in our care.
